Conference Tours

We are busily planning optional tours which will showcase Overland Park, the Kansas City metropolitan regions and the state of Kansas in all its uniqueness and diversity.

If you’ve never been to our area of the country, you may be surprised to learn:

• Our city and metro region lie within a transition zone where the North American eastern deciduous forests meet the tall grass prairie.

• Metro Kansas City is in zone 6a & 6b. It is lush with a canopy of trees, gently rolling hills, gardens and beautiful green spaces.

• Travel 30-90 minutes west from the city and see the landscape change into the vast openness of the prairie and rich farmland.

We are currently planning an exciting line-up of tours from June 17 through 21. We will post the exact schedule closer to November 2022 when registration opens.

Plan to arrive in Overland Park Saturday, June 17, 2023, to begin your conference experience. Saturday’s highlight will be an all-day private tour of stellar gardens rarely open to the public.

Local and regional tours begin the morning of June 18th. The activities will fill up quickly. Sign up for our newsletter to receive the latest conference news including tours and workshop details and the exact date November registration opens. Then, be ready with your can’t-miss list when registration opens in November. Additional fees apply. Follows are short summaries to tempt you. Stay tuned for additional details coming soon.
