IMGC Coordinators Session
Monday, June 19, 2-4 PM
This time is set aside for Extension staff and program coordinators to come together and network. Make plans to attend. No need to register, just show up. You will be sure to learn new information to add to your programming tool kit. The main content of the session will teach you about this new resource.
The last few years have convinced the world that plants really do have an impact on human health and well-being. However, a cohesive teaching or training curriculum has not been developed to support EMG coordinators in incorporating the benefits of plants into their volunteer intern training or continuing education.
Well, the wait is over! We want to introduce you to a training handbook chapter along with off-the-shelf teaching and assessment tools that you can use in synchronous or asynchronous teaching format to engage your new or existing EMG volunteers on the topic of the power of plants and people. This session is just for you as an EMG Coordinator. EMG volunteers will have opportunity to attend a session on Wednesday to become familiar with the content and resources available to them.
There will be time for programming sharing to learn more about what’s happening around the country.
The session will be led by the National Extension Master Gardener Committee and State EMG Coordinators.
